Practical Spring Design Training

IST’s newly designed spring training course combines its highly regarded, classroom taught content with practical hands-on use of spring design software, to produce two days of high-impact, real-world spring design training that will benefit both the delegate by increasing their spring knowledge and the employer by having an IST trained employee as part of the team.

The course will introduce basic and intermediate level spring design using IST’s world famous Spring Calculator Professional software, application specific material selection, and hints and tips to prevent spring failure.

During the two days at IST’s Headquarters in Sheffield, delegates will have the opportunity to meet the IST’s highly experienced staff during lunch, and to seek opinions and clarification of any spring related issues which they may have.

The training course tutor is Dr Richard Dignall, IST’s Technical Director, Spring Calculator Professional developer and a leading spring design expert.

Our In-House courses can be constructed from any parts of the standard courses and our Tailor-Made courses can incorporate any, all or a mixture of the modules, as well as elements from your own product range and commercial needs.

Our training packages can be performed anywhere in the world: at your company site, at our offices in Sheffield or at a venue of your choice (i.e. Hotel, Conference Centre etc.). Delegates can be from your own company and / or from your customer base, or we can also cater for a regional needs. Previous attendees have included spring manufacturers, material suppliers and spring users alike – everyone within the spring industry can benefit from IST’s knowledge and expertise.

What’s included in the Price?

Courses are available from 1 delegate up to a maximum of 30 delegates.
Each delegate will be provided with a customised course manual either as hard copy, a PDF or a memory stick for long term reference.
Your own company logo and headline can be included on the cover and throughout the course manual, and your own material can also be included.
There is the opportunity to discuss any enquires concerning the range of products and services IST offer with the course tutor and how these can help your business developments.
You can choose from a variety of training course elements ranging from Material Selection, Basic & Advanced Design, Manufacturing Technology, IST’s SCP Software and Failure & Prevention; we work with you to develop the manual during the preparation stage of the process.
For overseas customers, we will supply a PDF copy of the manual for you to print off and bind yourselves for the training course, so there are no added extra cost of carriers and also to avoid any delay in delivery of course content, if required we will also supply the course content on a memory stick for each individual.

For a standard in-house training course the time required to prepare the course is approximately 4 weeks and for a non-standard tailor-made training course approximately 8 weeks.
