Practical Spring Design online has been created for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of spring design, materials and failure. This is a 2-day, high-impact, online event ideal for manufacturers, design engineers and end-users and covers the following topics:
- Basic and advanced compression spring design
- Extension and torsion spring design
- Design using Spring Calculator Professional software
- Application-specific material selection
- Spring failure and prevention
The course is delivered by Dr Richard Dignall, spring expert and Technical Director at the Institute of Spring Technology, and Dr Conor McCaughey, materials expert, technical liaison and R&D manager. There will be lots of time for questions and answers with the tutors. We will provide you with:
- Spring Calculator Professional software*
- A certificate on completion
- The course presentation
- Recordings of each session
Practical Spring Design is conducted via Zoom.
What you will need
- A Zoom account
- A laptop, PC or tablet with a camera and microphone
- Spring Calculator Professional software*
- A PC with Windows 8 or higher to run Spring Calculator Professional
*If you do not already have or use Spring Calculator Professional, we will provide you with a trial for the course duration. You will need the compression, extension and torsion springs modules active. if you do not have one of these, we will provide you with an extension for the course duration.
