Clicking on the spring below will show a preview of the unique animation available in the non-standard spring type. This can be incredibly useful to the spring designer, as you can clearly see which coils remain active as the spring deflects, and what you need to change to optimise for your required rate and stress. This animation is also available as an AVI file, which is a larger file but may play more smoothly on older computers.
