Back in October 2008 Robert did the Great North Run (13.1 miles) in aid of The Anthony Nolan Trust Leukaemia Charity. He would like to express his sincere thanks to all those who kindly supported his fundraising efforts, IST being one of the sponsors. As of October 2008, they have raised over £1800 for the charity.

He confirmed that he finished the race just inside his two hour target – his official time from the website was a second under 1.59 hours, not the fastest time, but he was still standing at the end as the photograph shows.
