G & O Springs progress for a Social Responsibility Day, which will be completed on the 14th May 2009.

Maple Trees Children's Centre

Woodland Centre

The aim of the day is to provide Maple Trees Children's Centre & Woodlands Children's Centre (both based in Redditch, United Kingdom) with raised flowerbeds to allow the children to grow flowers and vegetables. G & O have split into 2 teams internally (one for each centre) and each team has the responsibility for planning and building the raised flowerbeds.

Plant & Vegetable Growing

So far G & O have been growing Lettuces, Cabbages, Dwarf beans, Tomatoes, Squash, Courgettes, French Marigolds and Masturtiums ready for the children to plant in their new flowerbeds!

The project has come about from G&O's involvement with SC21. Following completion of the EFQM model (a component of SC21) G & O realized that as a business they do not do anything to support or help their local community and so this project aims to help improve that.
