Francesca Fratus has joined The Brite Band Company at Cullingworth in a sales development and marketing role - and the 24 year old University student has already attracted three new overseas customers from Canada, India and Australia in just two weeks.
Francesca is on a four month placement with Brite Band, who are specialists in supplying steel coil to the petrochemical, aerospace and springs sectors amongst many others - and she was introduced to the company by an existing customer in Italy : -
"I'm taking a Masters degree in international business" she says "and I'm very grateful to Brite Band for giving me the opportunity of both improving my English and putting some of my export sales skills into practice".
Though studying in Lyon, France, Francesca hails from Bergamo in Italy where her father runs Nettuno, a company well known for its hand-cleansing products for industrial/medical use.
"My father would love me to work for him in the business, but recognises that I need some experience of the wider business world.

"Francesca's placement with us is the latest example of 'putting something back' into industry which has long been mutually beneficial to both parties" Russell commented.
