The UKSMA announces new President and Vice-President
The UKSMA has a strong heritage in providing unrivalled knowledge and services to its members, who are all very passionate about the spring industry. Our Council is elected from within our membership and in July 2010 we elected our current President, Steven Boyd, of G&O Springs, and our current Vice President, John Clifford, of Clifford Springs. With over 65 member companies, we actively promote the industry, its products and our members.

New UKSMA Website launched
In line with some of the recent and forthcoming changes to the UKSMA (UK Spring Manufacturers' Association), we have re-launched an updated website. As well as providing a new look and feel, the interface between customer and supplier has now been streamlined. This makes it much easier to find a springmaker that can provide you with the springs you need. You can browse a list of our Member companies, search by location or on a map, or use our fully interactive search to find a list of companies matching your requirements.

The Institute of Spring Technology announces its Autumn Training Programme
IST’s training courses are designed to help you gain the Leading Edge in Spring Technology. Every year they run a series of UK Open Courses at IST’s offices in Sheffield, whereby delegates increase their understanding of spring technology, have the opportunity to see Spring Design and Testing through a tour of IST’s facilities and to interact with other delegates from within the spring industry.

IST, The International Independent Centre of Excellence for Spring Technology, is set to revolutionise the way spring designers work with its innovative online Spring Calculator software which is was demonstrated at Wire 2010, Dusseldorf and launched soon afterwards. It is based on and compliments IST's successful Spring Design and Validation software.
