Spring Manufacturing Technology

4th, 5th & 6th November 2008

Including Accurate Spring Measurement and Inspection & Quality Control

Springs are the most highly stressed manufactured components operating in any mechanism.  As a consequence they are manufactured from the highest strength engineering materials known to man.  They are critical components requiring a detailed knowledge and appreciation of their manufacture on the part of all involved in the component supply chain.  This course will provide that essential understanding in 3 days of the processes used to make reliable springs.

WHY ~ processes are carried out
WHAT ~ the potential pitfalls, limitations and benefits are
HOW ~ the processes are carried out
WHEN ~ some processes are more appropriate than others
WHERE ~ the critical stages in the manufacturing process are
WHICH ~ order manufacturing processes should be undertaken

Who Should Attend ~ This course is most popular with Spring Manufacturers. Experienced staff will gain an understanding of the processes used and will provide answers to those questions you always wanted to ask. New employees will also profit from the course, but they should have been working with springs for a few weeks or months to gain most benefit. Raw Material Suppliers will learn what should happen to their materials. End Users of springs will learn about how their springs ought to have been produced.

Note : Practical craft training in spring machine setting or operating is not offered as part of the course.

Cost (excluding VAT)
Three Day Course £500.00 Members / £650.00 Non Members
