The FRACMAT test system allows you to assess the forming performance of your
spring wire before you use it. The test is simple and highly effective, making a
significant contribution to improved quality and throughput.
Chaos Theory mathematical analysis and a unique computer controlled measuring
system provides new data on the variability in elastic properties and surface
frictional characteristics of your wire. This information enables you to
classify the wire as "good", "intermediate" or
"poor".
The FRACMAT test provides the following important
benefits:
·
Improved quality control for outgoing wires and incoming wire inspection,
to prevent unsuitable wire being used or supplied to customers.
·
Categorisation of forming performance of wires, enabling identification
of highly consistent wires for use in close tolerance work.
·
Production of an information database on wire coilability assessment.
For Wire Producers:
·
An increased level of confidence that wires of high, consistent quality
can be reliably supplied to customers.
·
Implementation of Taguchi-style experiments to identify / control the
factors influencing coiling consistency in order to produce wires
"right-first-time".
For Wireformers / Springmakers:
·
Improved manufacturing tolerances with lower scrap rates by using the
correct wire for the job.
·
Reduced setup times be eliminating the non-productive adjustment loops
needed to confirm that poor wire cannot be formed to the required tolerance.
·
A genuine just-in-time production capability, reducing inventory levels
and enhancing customer service.
Special Options:
If you have a special need we can incorporate your requirements into our
standard design. The following are examples of extra equipment you may need.
·
Pay-off swift for wire.
·
Additional mandrels.
·
Increased wire range.
·
Other supply voltages available.
