British Standard Specifications
A range of British Standard Specifications are available from the Institute to both Members and Non-Members, as well as the whole range of British, International and Defence Standards relating to the Spring Industry available for Members only.

Costing for Estimating in the Spring Industry
A guide to basic costing principles, written not just for accountants but for senior management in the industry in order to improve methods of costing and thereby increase profitability. The booklet is complemented by the issue of Costing Data Sheets, amplifying and exemplifying either pints made in the guide or costing topics of general interest.

Spring Material Selection CD ROM
A computer database system for spring materials available in the form of CD ROM. Incorporating a material selector feature, automatically providing a list of candidate materials from a specific set of application parameters and also includes materials covered by all international specifications. Complete ranges of wire and strip sizes / tensile strength data for each material. Supplier details for each individual material. This is an on-going project in cooperation with the European Spring Federation (ESF) which is currently in the last year - Year 2 CD ROM is now available - if purchased Year 3 will be sent free of charge upon completion.

Health & Safety Code of Practice
The Second Edition (1993) of the Spring Industry Join Working Group on Health & Safety, covering recommended Health & Safety practices in the  process of springmaking, has been up-dated following changes in the UK and EC legislation.  The result of cooperative work between manufacturers, trade unions and HSE the booklet is comprehensively cross-referenced to relevant Acts, Regulations, Guidance Notes etc., and has a forward by Lord Robens.
